Merit selection study group invites input.

The second of a series of hearings by the Bar's new Special Committee on Merit Selection and Retention will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 29, at the Bar's General Meeting in Tampa.

The panel may make a recommendation to the board early next year on whether the Bar should take a position in local elections deciding whether trial judges are selected by ballot or through the merit selection process.
