Proposed criminal procedure rules.

The Criminal Procedure Rules Committee invites comment on proposed three-year cycle amendments to the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure shown below. The full text of the proposals can be found on The Florida Bar's website at www.FloridaBar.org. Interested persons have until August 1 to submit comments electronically to Judge Donald E. Scaglione, Chair, at dscaglione@circuit5.org, and to the Bar staff liaison, Krys Godwin, at kgodwin@flabar.org.

RULE/FORM VOTE EXPLANATION 3.111(d)(2) 22-6 Amends the rule to conform to Iowa v. Tovar, 541 U.S. 77 (2004). 3.125(l) 27-0 Amends the form to include a new statement in compliance with Fla.R.Jud.Admin. 2.540 with specific font requirements, pertaining to accommodation of persons with disabilities. 3.140(c)(1) 24-3 Amends the rule to move subdivision (e) of Fla.R.Jud.Admin. 2.265 into this rule. 3.170(l) 24-7 Amends the rule to conform to Williams v.
