Ave Maria's Dean Milhizer to step down on July 1.

Eugene R. Milhizer, president and dean of Ave Maria School of Law, has announced that he will be stepping down from those positions, effective July 1, 2014.

Milhizer, who will have served as dean and acting dean for over six years, will remain at Ave Maria School of Law as a member of the law school faculty.

"I have decided to step down to return to what I enjoy most--teaching," Milhizer said. "It has been an honor and a privilege to lead Ave Maria School of Law through a very exciting and sometimes challenging period of her history."

Chair of the board and founder, Thomas S. Monaghan, thanked Milhizer for his service as dean.
