Back to school: but first a little public service work.

SAMANTHA JOHNSON AND MARISSA PULLANO, second-year law students at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad Law Center, joined more than 300 incoming first-year students at the NSU Law Public Service Day Annual Beach Cleanup at John U. Lloyd Beach State Park in Dania. The cleanup is part of the school's orientation program, and participation automatically enrolls students in NSU Law's Pro Bono Honor Program. This year the students also planted sea oats, which helps minimize beach erosion. Other orientation activities included a student organizations' fair, various training sessions, panel discussions, and "Dine with the Dean" receptions which host 50 students per night in the home of Dean Joseph Harbaugh.
