Bar website upgraded.

When Bar members next visit The Florida Bar's website, they'll notice some changes made to the "Find a Lawyer" and member profile pages.

Here's what's new in the "Find a Lawyer" search feature:

* Results are no longer limited to 100 names.

* Left-side links connect to other directories including staff contacts, Florida Registered Paralegals, etc.

* Photos and certification status are included in search results.

The "My Florida Bar --Member Profile" now includes:

* Members may add cell phone numbers.

* Personal URLs may be added and will go directly to members' profile pages. (The default link is www.floridabar.org/mybarprofile/ MEMBERNUMBER) Members have an option to enter their own text URL.

Members are also encouraged to log in and update their profile with a photo. If a photo is not included on this new website redesign, the picture will be a default silhouette

Project manager and Bar staff member, Bill Latini, said the modifications reflect enhancements made to the entire website.

"A year ago, at the beginning of July, we updated the whole website," he said. "It had always been part of the plan to update the different functions, the different pages on the Web, with the new look and feel."

Latini said the profiles in particular, where lawyers can update their information, were enhanced in response to requests made by the Board of Governors Communications...
