Brain scans for judges?

For nearly a year we've heard news stories of the "Taj Mahal" courthouse. Recently we've heard of the Texas family law judge whose daughter taped him severely beating her seven years ago.

Predictably, key Florida court system figures responsible for "Taj Mahal" have made no apology for wasting money on such vulgarity, while they routinely deny funding to provide disability accommodations for disabled litigants and lawyers to meaningfully participate in court proceedings based on "budgetary concerns."

Likewise, the Texas judge has made no apology for severely beating his mentally disabled daughter; after all, his record under Texas' judicial oversight mechanism (similar to Florida's in scope) was perfect, until a hidden camera inside his victim/daughter's bedroom exposed a very dark side.

Lack of empathy is the core trait of a psychopath.

JQCR 6 provides for removal if "the judge has a disability seriously interfering with the performance of the judge's duties, which is, or is likely to become, permanent in nature. ... "

As it stands, we are legally obligated to presume a judge is mentally fit to serve until some terrible event is exposed rebutting that presumption. Therein lays the conundrum.
