CLE costs.

I do not understand the high price of The Florida Bar's CLE programs after 42 years of paying dues. I would think our Board of Governors would want us to be the best educated Bar and encourage our members to have more than 30 hours of CLE to maintain the privilege.

Are we forced to go to a third-party provider because they charge substantially less for a minimum of 30 hours of CLE? In my case, yes. Other state bars charge less.

The board members from the large firm can purchase one CD and pass it around the firm, but the solo practitioners cannot. We are forced to support what the Bar says should be supported, and I think the Bar makes a net profit...
