Communications Committee continues review of public service announcements.

The Communications Committee is monitoring the Bar's TV and radio public education campaign, and also studying ways to determine the campaign's effectiveness.

Committee Chair Alan Bookman reported at the Board of Governors last meeting that on January 1 the Bar's public service announcements would be switching from cable TV systems to TV and radio stations that are members of the Florida Association of Broadcasters.

The ads relate various ways lawyers help Florida citizens and businesses.

On another matter, the committee is continuing to study the best way to put attorney profiles, including disciplinary information, on the Bar's website. Bookman said such information is already accessible online for professions regulated by the legislature and the committee is seeking to act before there is a legislative mandate or other effort directing the Bar to make such information available.
