Convention project aims to raise money for food bank.

In conjunction with The Florida Bar's Annual Convention next month at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center in Kissimmee, the Annual Convention Committee has organized a community outreach initiative to raise funds for the Osceola Council on Aging food bank.

"The Osceola Council on Aging is one of the foremost local organizations which feeds the hungry and the homeless and serves the needs of all age groups," according to Annual Convention Co-chairs Juliet M. Roulhac and Lansing C. Scriven. "The agency will have a table located in the exhibit/registration areas at the convention where voluntary donations from Florida Bar members may be made to aid in the fight against hunger in Central Florida."

The Osceola Council on Aging is the largest social services organization in Osceola County, providing a wide array of services and programs to meet the needs of the community.
