DIMITRIOS PETEVES, a third-year law student from the University of Florida, tied with two other competitors for the Best Oralist award in the recent Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition held in Vienna. Around 300 teams from law schools around the world participated in the event, along with almost 2,000 international arbitrators, professors, and lawyers. The Florida Bar's International Law Section hosted a preliminary competition for all Florida law schools and then contributed a cash stipend of $3,500 (up from $2,500 in previous years) each to teams from the University of Florida, University of Miami, Stetson, Florida International University, and Florida State University that attended the Vis competition.
