Disciplinary actions.

The Florida Supreme Court in recent court orders reprimanded three, disbarred nine, and suspended 13 attorneys.

The following lawyers are disciplined:

Thomas Marvin Alford, 511 Courthouse Ln., Augusta, Ga., suspended from practicing law in Florida for one year, effective 30 days following a May 4 court order. (Admitted to practice: 1985) Alford failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client and failed to respond, in writing, to an official inquiry by Bar counsel, or disciplinary agency, when conducting an investigation into his conduct. (Case no. SC05-1682)

Gregory Patrick Armotrading, 505 N. Liberty St., Jacksonville, suspended from practicing law in Florida for 10 months, effective retroactive to April 4, 2005, following a May 4 court order. (Admitted to practice: 1996) Among several Bar violations, Armotrading failed to provide competent representation to a client; engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation; and violated some of the Rules Regulating Trust Accounts. (Case no. SC05-1063)

Louis Charles Arslanian, 2700 W. Cypress Creek Road, Ste. C-104, Ft. Lauderdale, suspended from practicing law in Florida for 15 days, effective May 28, following a May 18 court order. Upon reinstatement, Arslanian is further placed on probation for one year. (Admitted to practice: 1989) Arslanian failed to comply with his supervisory responsibilities of a non-lawyer; failed to provide notice of employment in an authorized business entity; and had nonlawyers engaged in the unlicensed practice of law under his supervision. (Case no. SCOG-719)

George Alan Bode, 2314 Broadway St., New Orleans, La., disbarred from practicing law in Florida, effective 30 days following a May 4 court order. (Admitted to practice: 1975) Among several Bar violations, Bode failed to act with reasonable diligence in promptness in representing a client; violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct; and engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation. (Case nos. SC05-736 & SC05-1392)

Alice Ellen Brown, 250 N.E. 20th St., Apt. 505, Boca Raton, suspended from practicing law in Florida for two years, effective retroactive to April 8, 2005, following a May 25 court order.
