Dogs and Cats.

For several weeks my cat, Sassy, has been depressed and at times downright irritable. The problem got so extreme that I found it necessary to set an appointment for Sassy with a cat therapist. After several sessions, the good doctor advised that Sassy was undergoing extreme anxiety after reading an article in The Florida Bar News regarding dogs in the workplace.

Apparently, she could not understand why the Bar News encourages "inclusion and diversity" but gave a great deal of space exclusively to dogs and their presence in the workplace. Her question, "Why does the Bar and News not include cats, snakes, hamsters, lions, tigers, bears, mice and birds; we are pets too?" She was especially in favor of mice and birds in her workplace.

I have tried to explain to Sassy why the Bar leadership and the News often go overboard on issues and it is best to let sleeping dogs lie.
