E-Filing Portal.

A letter to the editor in the September 1 News voiced concerns about the number of emails generated by the statewide E-Filing Portal when filing a document. The letter compared the Portal process with the federal PACER system process.

All filers can specify Portal email preferences by updating their user account. To change your settings, log into the portal and use the "My Account" menu to access your user profile and preferences. Uncheck the boxes next to the types of emails you no longer wish to receive, such as "filing received" or "processing completed." Our Portal received more than 14 million submissions, 20 million documents, and 89 million pages from nearly 200,000 filers last year. This is a significant volume in comparison to PACER. Further, the Portal's Service Desk also responded to 33,470 calls for assistance in the same time period.

Calls for assistance and suggestions for improvement are tracked, collated in a monthly report, and highlighted at each E-Filing Authority Board meeting in the Service Desk report.
