First DCA wins Davis Productivity Award for tech work.

The First District Court of Appeal technology and programming development team has received a 2013 Prudential-Davis Productivity Award for adapting and implementing an electronic filing and document management system developed by the Division of Administrative Hearings.

This system particularly benefits the workers' compensation insurance industry and insureds through reduced duplication, postage, and storage expense, and both government and private sector attorneys practicing before the court, annually saving an estimated $500,000 based on approximately 1,000 cases, according to Florida TaxWatch, a co-sponsor of the awards.

The Davis Productivity Awards recognizes and rewards state government employees for their efforts in creating cost-effective initiatives saving millions of dollars for Florida taxpayers and businesses.
