Gender Bias.

In response to the fellow attorney questioning and ultimately belittling the experiences of many female attorneys (yes, being called "Babe" is both unprofessional and demeaning), the slippery slope arguments and hairsplitting will not distract from the conversation.

Questioning whether all female attorneys have had this kind of experience rather than just the lucky few or to qualify these kinds of experiences by degree, shows how out of touch some of those in the profession (men and women) are with respect to this issue.
