Hand of Justice.

In all the world there's nothing half so needful as a gentler, wiser "Hand of Justice."

Justice free from filthy lucre, unbiased, kind, forgiving, even-handed, powerful to level the advantages of wealth, strong to resist the ploys of avarice, deaf to demands of politics, eager to lift the shuffling plight of those who suffer daily where want and ignorance hide hope and drive hungry souls to cruelty and violence.

We are none of us forever secure in this brief space of time, time to use, however we choose. However we choose ... and then no more.

The time for change is now.

Each of us has been empowered by our education and license to be zealous advocates for what's right and true, refusing the temptations of money and power that dissuade too many from the oath we each have given before God (whatever you may deem God to be).

You took that oath. So did we all.

A bumper sticker many years ago said it best. "Want Peace? Work for Justice!"

We, more than any others, can wrest from judges the wrong decisions that in these recent times have blighted public morality, level the tilted field of battle in our courts, and show to each new fledgling generation that we are, indeed, protectors of the light within that lamp upheld in New York's harbor, working together so that light may shine more brightly for all the world to see, until Truth shows us ourselves as the brothers and sisters we truly are, in a world united in peace at last.
