Lawyers nominated to serve on state's JNCs.

Three lawyers each for an upcoming vacancy on each of the state's 26 judicial nominating commissions have been selected by the Bar Board of Governors and forwarded to Gov. Charlie Crist, who will make the final appointments.

The board, at its March meeting, reviewed the recommendations of its JNC screening committees and made its choices.

Former Bar President Howard C. Coker of Jacksonville, Philip Freidin of Miami, and Cynthia Johnson-Stacks of Miami were nominated for the Supreme Court JNC.

For the district courts of appeal JNCs:

* Hugh Cotney of Jacksonville, Katherine Eastmoore Giddings of Crawfordville, and M. Stephen Turner of Tallahassee were nominated for the First DCA JNC.

* W. Reynolds Allen of Tampa, Susan W. Fox of Tampa, and Celene Harrell Humphries of Riverview were nominated for the Second DCA JNC.

* Matias Rafael Dorta of Miami, Katherine W. Ezell of Coral Gables, and Gerald B. Wald of Miami were nominated for the Third DCA JNC.

* F. Gregory Barnhart of Palm Beach, former Bar President Gerald Richman of Palm Beach Gardens, and Rafael J. Roca of Jupiter were nominated for the Fourth DCA JNC.

* O. John Alpizar of Melbourne Beach, Shannon McLin Carlyle of Leesburg, and Kirk N. Kirkconnell of Altamonte Springs were nominated for the Fifth DCA JNC.

For the circuit JNCs:

* Roy M. Kinsey, Jr., of Pensacola, Stephen A. Pitre of Gulf Breeze, and David Lee Sellers of Pensacola were nominated in the First Circuit.

* William Howard Davis, Clark R. Jennings, and Dean R. LeBoeuf, all of Tallahassee, were nominated in the Second Circuit.

* Thomas W. Brown of Lake City, Kimberly G. Shelley-Sedor of Jasper, and Ernest A. Sellers of Live Oak were nominated in the Third Circuit.

* Richard Robert Alexander of Jacksonville, Lynn Drysdale of Atlantic Beach, and David M. Wells of Orange Park were nominated in the Fourth Circuit.

* Timothy S. Babiarz of Ocala, Raul Carreras, Jr., of Ocala and Donald M. McCathran, Jr., of Citrus Springs were nominated in the Fifth Circuit.

* Robert C. Decker of Redington Beach, Robert H. Dillinger of St. Petersburg, and Craig A. Laporte of New Port Richey were nominated in the Sixth Circuit.

* Barbara Curtis Davis of Ponce Inlet, Steven John Guardiano of Port Orange, and Mary G. Jolley of New Smyrna Beach were nominated in the Seventh Circuit.

* Marcia Davis of High Springs, Cynthia Stump Swanson of Gainesville, and Elizabeth A.W. Zettler of Williston were nominated in the Eighth Circuit.
