MacKenzie leads the Foundation.

Jacksonville attorney Dominic C. "Donny" MacKenzie took office July 1 as president of The Florida Bar Foundation.

"I am honored to take on the role that was meant for Julio Jaramillo were it not for his untimely passing in January, and I dedicate my year as president to him," MacKenzie said. "I intend to continue guiding the Foundation along the path of positive change forged by past Foundation leaders and look forward to continuing to work with the leadership of The Florida Bar, the Florida Supreme Court, and countless others engaged in our efforts to usher in a new era for the legal profession, for access to justice, and for pro bono efforts in Florida."

MacKenzie, who practices at Holland & Knight, focuses in the areas of medical and professional malpractice defense, healthcare litigation, product liability, construction litigation, and personal injury. He received his bachelor's degree from Florida State University and his law degree from the F SU College of Law.

As a Foundation director since 2007, MacKenzie has served on the Legal Assistance for the Poor/Law Student Assistance, IOTA Operations, Development, and Executive committees.

He is a member of the Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice and has served on many state and local bar committees, including Florida Bar committees on the Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules of Judicial Administration, Code and Rules of Evidence, and Pro Bono Legal Services. He has...
