Multijurisdictional practice.

The current multijurisdictional debate focusing on pro hac vice rules that appeared in the March 1 News, is par-for-the-course of the way our Florida Bar approaches any and all changes, that they somehow have to reinvent the wheel.

As a member of only The Florida Bar, I have had both the opportunity and privilege of appearing in state courts across the country, from the Atlantic to Pacific, from Canada to Mexico, and never once have I had to submit to any requirements of another bar or to those courts in other states, other than to appear with a member of that state's bar.

I suggest to the Bar that that standard is more than sufficient to accomplish the goals it desires to achieve because that member of another state's bar, just like reciprocal attorneys here in Florida, have to...
