Ninth Circuit JNC needs a member.

The Florida Bar is accepting applications for one lawyer vacancy on the Ninth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.

By letter of September 12, the governor rejected The Florida Bar's list of nominees for one seat on the Ninth Circuit JNC, pursuant to F.S. [section]43.29(1)(a). Accordingly, The Florida Bar must submit a list of three different nominees to the governor for appointment. The appointee will serve the remainder of a four-year term, commencing immediately upon appointment and ending June 30, 2014.

Applicants must be engaged in the practice of law and a resident of the territorial jurisdiction served by the commission to which the member is applying.
