Not many attorneys moonlight as anchors.

Liza Park loves the law.

But she can't forget her first love--journalism.

Possessing an innate curiosity that first found a voice working on her high school newspaper, Park is as comfortable in a courtroom as she is in front of a television camera.

So this brainy, bubbly high-achiever decided she didn't have to choose. She simply does both.

During the week, she's of counsel at Parks & Crump in Tallahassee, where she's part of the family practicing law with Daryl Parks and Ben Crump, her good friends from college days.

On the weekend, she's reporting the news and sitting behind the anchor desk at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. at WCTV Eyewitness News.

How does this 38-year-old petite dynamo handle two demanding jobs?

"Most women have two jobs already, if they are married and have kids. I don't have the second part," Park says nonchalantly.

But broadcast colleague , Julie Montanaro, a reporter and anchor for 20 years, is amazed.

"I'm not sure why anyone would want to work seven days a week! And I don't know how she does it. I'm tired just thinking about it. Seriously, I think Liza loves both jobs and doesn't want to choose," Montanaro said.

"Liza is always laughing. I wonder if that is part of the secret to her success. For someone who has two jobs that force her to confront society's troubles and tragedies, she has a lightness of spirit that I admire."

In Florida's capital city, Liza Park happily hones her skills as a lawyer and digs for news.

"I have a curious nature," Park says. "I like to know what is going on, really knowing what's happening, and I like to know right when it's happening. I don't mean reading it later or searching something a month later. I want to know what's going on when it's going on."

Check out her bio page at parkscrump.com and you quickly see Park crammed a lot into her life even back in college at Florida State University: Elected to the Student Senate, president of Delta Zeta Sorority, president of Lady Scalphunters. Along with Crump, she co-founded Florida State's leadership group, Burning Spear, and served as director of the Charlie Ward for Heisman Campaign. She was awarded Most Outstanding Senior Communications Student and the Media Performance Student of the Year.

Of course, Park couldn't settle for just one major. She received bachelor's degrees in both English and media performance. Before law school at FSU, she wedged in studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea, at Yonsei University.
