Doing it better for less: criminal justice system players weigh in with ideas on how to do their jobs amid continuing cutbacks.

Rep. Victor Crist, R-Tampa, chair of the Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations Committee, asked those involved in the courts and criminal justice system to come up with ideas on how to do their jobs cheaper and better. While there has been talk of up to a $3 billion state budget shortfall, Crist said he didn't know what the allocation will be, but he was predicting gloom and doom.
