YLD creates Diversity Award.

The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division recently added two new annual awards: The Diversity Award and The Quality of Life Award.

The recipients of these YLD awards will be rewarded with $2,500 prizes to be presented to the recipients' charity of choice.

The young lawyers passed two resolutions to establish the awards in response to growing need in its constituency to focus on the issues of diversity, according to YLD President Stuart Ratzan.

The Diversity Award will be presented to the person and/or entity that demonstrates the highest morality and respect for all persons and diversity; efforts and allegiance to creating diversity;. and promotes a more diverse workplace.
